What is buccal fat?

こめかみ〜頬の深い位置にある脂肪です。
笑った時に赤点線の部位が盛り上がる、口を開けたとき頬粘膜に歯形が残っている、その場合はバッカルファットの量が多いと考えられるので除去が有効です。
除去と言っても全て取ると頬がコケるので適量が大事です。
加齢でもバッカルファットの位置が下がってきて、頬部の膨らみが強くなることがあります。

治療方法とダウンタイムは？
バッカルファット除去では口腔内を切開して脂肪の塊を取り出しますが、その傷痕はわずか１～2cm程度。
口の中の粘膜を切開するため傷の治りが早く、外見上も目立ちません。
術後の影響が少なく、ダウンタイムが軽度で済む場合がほとんどで、腫れは1週間程度で改善します。
マスクで隠せば周りからも気づかれにくいです。
