The key to a beautiful profile: the ”cervicomental angle” Medically termed the cervicomental angle.

”The ”cervicomental angle" is the medical term for the angle between the neck and the lower jaw. The ideal range is 105-120 degrees.

In the case of a so-called double chin, the ”neck-chin angle” becomes wider than the ideal.

The reason why many Japanese people have double chins is often due to skeletal structure or bite alignment, so orthodontic treatment may improve it.

However, if there is a significant amount of fat under the chin, it becomes difficult to achieve the ideal ”neck-chin angle,” so submental liposuction is performed.

・Downtime:

Most patients who perform desk work return to work the day after surgery. Makeup, facial cleansing, and showering are possible the day after surgery, allowing you to resume your normal daily activities.

For those in customer service or sales roles, we recommend resting for about three days as a precaution.

For the first 72 hours after surgery, when swelling is most likely to occur, you will need to wear a removable compression bandage called a face band.

Wearing a hat and mask makes you almost unnoticeable.For those in professions where masks are not an option, you may be concerned about bruising, so we recommend covering it up with concealer.

Swelling and bruising will improve within about 7 days.

・Pain:You will experience minimal pain as you will be asleep under intravenous anesthesia. After returning home, you can comfortably manage any discomfort with oral pain medication.

・Safety:When local anesthetic with hemostatic properties is sprayed into the correct fat layer and liposuction is performed at the correct layer, the risk is low.
