During revision surgery to narrow the width after double eyelid incision surgery, a technique called suspension fixation is performed.
Threads are used to lift the eyelids just enough to prevent them from closing completely, ensuring the skin folds back to form a double eyelid line even when the eyes are shut.
This results in a double conditioning.

Preoperatively, there is asymmetry between the left and right sides, and the width is excessive.
In the past, parallel double eyelids were considered ideal, and patients would undergo such procedures at other clinics. But now, the trend is natural beauty.

To create a double eyelid with a wider crease, the incision line must be set closer to the lash line, requiring the double eyelid to be reshaped.
If the original double eyelid line adhesion is not released during the procedure, both the new double eyelid line and the previous one will appear post-surgery, resulting in what is known as a triple eyelid.
The procedure performed to prevent this is traction fixation.
The duration of the suspension fixation is approximately 3 to 7 days. The period may vary slightly depending on the case.
Important points to note: This treatment causes severe dry eye, so frequent eye drops are necessary to protect the eyes. Additionally, apply ointment to the surface of the eyes at bedtime to prevent drying.
In severe cases, corneal erosion may occur, so we recommend requesting revisions from a physician who is familiar with such treatment methods.
