Actually, I... had surgery the other day!

As the first step, I underwent surgery.

It all started with a conversation I had with Director Hotta one day.

From this moment on, I will strive to achieve refined beauty in three months' time.

That stubborn puffiness around my face has been bothering me forever (T ^ T)

No matter how hard I diet or work out, the fat around my face just won't budge...

This can be resolved with cheek and submental liposuction!

 

And then there's the "candy cheeks🍬" I've had since I was little.

This is caused by a mass of fat called buccal fat, located in the deep part of the central area of the cheek.

When you're little, chubby cheeks give a cute impression, but this fat gradually sags downward with age, causing sagging...😱

This time, I'd like to talk about what happened on the day of the surgery.

First, preoperative.

Dr. Hotta, who will be performing the surgery, will design it for me.

Design complete. Heart racing.

Once the design is complete, you'll lie down on the bed, and the nurse will efficiently prepare for surgery by draping you with clean cloths.

And now, the surgery begins👩‍⚕️✨

I didn't even realize it myself, but there were this many people watching (lol).

Once the surgery began, it felt like I was simply entrusting myself to the doctor, and it was over in the blink of an eye.

Once the anesthesia takes effect, you'll only feel the sensation of being touched, with almost no pain.

I underwent surgery under nitrous oxide anesthesia alone to experience the sensation of being operated on, so I was conscious from start to finish, but

Patients feeling anxious may also choose relaxation anesthesia (where you sleep for a few minutes during local anesthesia) or intravenous anesthesia (where you sleep and wake up to find the procedure completed).

During the surgery, the staff patted my shoulder and held my hand—it really gave me courage (；＿；)💓

And so the surgery was completed without incident.

Even right after surgery, I never miss taking selfies for the record. (lol)

My face is swollen because the hemostatic gauze used after buccal fat removal is still inside my mouth.

Due to the effects of anesthesia, I feel a bit of difficulty moving my mouth (this should return to normal within 2 to 3 hours).

Tsujisawa remained carefree even after the surgery.

Here, I asked Dr. Hotta a question unbecoming of a doctor.

Tsujisawa: "Sensei, I shouldn't drink today, right?" ← How much do I love booze?

Professor Hotta: "Eh... Seriously, you should stop."

Yeah, right? (lol) I mean, I know it's bad, but...😂 (This is my own responsibility)

So, I quietly went home that day.🏡

But I was feeling so well after surgery that I even had time to think about that (just me? lol)!

On the day of the procedure, in addition to drinking alcohol, avoid activities that increase your metabolism—such as strenuous exercise or long baths—as they can promote bleeding and swelling.

On the day of the procedure, your mouth may be stiff and difficult to move due to the effects of anesthesia and swelling. We recommend soft, easy-to-swallow foods for meals.

 

That night, as the anesthesia wore off, I started feeling some pain, so I took a painkiller.

Pain medication is provided to postoperative patients on an as-needed basis, but I only took it once on the day of surgery.

For the next 72 hours, I'll be spending time with my compression bandage.

So, that's how it went—this time I shared what happened on the day of the surgery!
