As an Assistant Professor, Associate Ward Director, and Chief of Dermatopathology at the university hospital dermatology department, I deepened my expertise through academic presentations and paper publications both domestically and internationally. I have handled a wide range of treatments, from birthmark therapy in children to adult pigmentation concerns, utilizing various lasers and injection therapies, while also contributing to community healthcare. Through encountering numerous cases, I strongly felt the potential and necessity of aesthetic medicine, resolving to pursue further expertise. Building upon my solid dermatological knowledge and meticulous diagnostic skills, I value treatments that gently support each individual's skin while bringing out its inherent beauty.

I'll never forget the thrill of injecting baby collagen into my dark circles...

I am Dr. Aya Hayama, a board-certified dermatologist.

On the skin of the face,The main components that decrease with age are type I collagen and type III collagen.is.

especiallyType III collagen is abundant in the supportive tissues of skin and blood vessels, and is also important for firmness and suppleness.plays a role.

However, unfortunatelyNatural decline begins in the late twenties, and by the forties, it drops to about half of what it was in the twenties.!!!!!

Please be aware that UV rays, stress, smoking, and lack of sleep are considered factors that accelerate the process.

To compensate for this, I believe the current mainstream approach in cosmetic dermatology—beyond just treating spots—involves consuming, applying, or introducing through treatments the vitamin C needed as a raw material to increase collagen.

Then, by applying heat and activating dermal fibroblasts, its production is promoted.

The key concept behind representative skin cultivation isn't just injecting hyaluronic acid—it's incorporating the raw material itself!!

And I believe this baby collagen is the most efficient treatment, as it involves injecting it directly into the dermis.

What is Baby Collagen?

Baby Collagen is a treatment that involves injecting a collagen preparation derived from human placenta to improve wrinkles and dark circles.Recent research has revealed that several types of collagen exist, and among them, the collagen that constitutes the skin is, as mentioned earlier,Type I collagen and Type III collagen. Baby Collagen is a formulation combining these two types in a 1:1 ratio.will be used.
Type I collagen retains moisture in the skin and provides elasticity. It is the most common type of collagen found in the body. Type III collagen possesses self-repairing properties. It enhances the skin tissue's ability to regenerate and rebuild, thereby imparting firmness. It is also called baby collagen because it is abundant in infants' skin. The reason babies' skin has such plump volume and elasticity is due to this collagen.Contains a large amount of Type III baby collagenThat's why.
However, collagen type III in particular gradually decreases with age. When the ratio of collagen type I to collagen type III becomes imbalanced, the skin's restorative power declines, leading to skin concerns like sagging and wrinkles. This is where baby collagen injection therapy enables artificial supplementation. It has garnered significant attention in the beauty industry as it aims to achieve healthy skin with baby-like flexibility and elasticity through injection, without the need for major surgery.
The greatest benefit of baby collagen injection therapy is its natural finish. When injected into the skin, baby collagen immediately improves skin elasticity, flexibility, and fine lines while also promoting the body's own collagen production. Even after absorption, it supports the skin's own gradual regeneration process over time, enabling improvement from within the skin itself and delivering a healthy, natural finish. Furthermore, baby collagen is characterized by its high affinity with the collagen already present in the skin. It blends in relatively quickly after injection, making it suitable for treating delicate areas with thin skin. Areas like the eye area, around the mouth, and the neck have thin skin and are prone to a decrease in baby collagen with age. Replenishing these areas with baby collagen formulations can help create a more youthful appearance.
What kind of treatment?
Baby Collagen is a treatment suitable even for those sensitive to pain. The procedure uses a special needle called a microcannula, which differs from standard injection needles. Microcannulas are characterized by being extremely thin and having a rounded tip. This unique shape minimizes pain during needle insertion and injection compared to regular needles. Furthermore, Baby Collagen contains anesthetic components in the formulation, making the treatment possible without additional anesthesia. Baby Collagen is also recommended for those unable to take time off for recovery. The microcannula's blunt tip minimizes damage to blood vessels and tissue, reducing the risk of post-procedure swelling and bleeding. Immediately after treatment, temporary side effects like redness or swelling may appear at the injection site. However, these symptoms are typically mild and usually fade gradually within a few days. For individuals who wish to avoid disrupting work or daily life, or who prefer to keep their treatment discreet, Baby Collagen is an easily accessible option.

The Difference Between Baby Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid Injections
Hyaluronic acid injections, like baby collagen, are effective treatments for improving wrinkles, but they differ in their applications and how their effects manifest. Hyaluronic acid injections are procedures that restore volume to areas that have lost it, improve unevenness or hollows, provide lifting, and correct facial contours. With higher viscosity and larger molecular weight than baby collagen, hyaluronic acid is expected to be effective for improving deeper skin irregularities. On the other hand, baby collagen has lower viscosity and smaller molecular weight than hyaluronic acid, making it suitable for treating finer irregularities. Particularly...Baby Collagen excels at improving concerns around the eyes, such as fine lines, hollows, and dark circles. The skin around the eyes is thin and delicate. When hyaluronic acid is injected, it may cause the Tyndall effect, where the solution appears translucent and bluish-white, or it may lead to lumps or unevenness. In contrast, baby collagen is milky white and blends well with the skin, significantly reducing the risk of the Tyndall effect or unevenness.

Isn't this effect amazing?

How long does the effect last?

The duration of Baby Collagen's effects varies depending on the treatment area and skin condition, but generally lasts about six months to a year. Areas frequently moved, such as the lips and under the eyes, tend to show shorter-lasting results. First-time users and those with age-related collagen loss also experience shorter effects. However, Baby Collagen enhances the skin's regenerative capacity, gradually increasing collagen levels within the skin with each subsequent treatment. As the skin's own regenerative capacity improves, continuing treatment leads to longer-lasting results. Therefore, the recommended treatment frequency is approximately every 3 to 6 months. For first-time clients, receiving treatment about once every 3 months helps maintain optimal results more easily.

Here's a personal musing from me, a dermatologist...

I tend to have hollows under my eyes. I've tried various treatments, and while each improved wrinkles or added firmness in some areas, this Baby Collagen was the best for the hollows! Proof of this is that immediately after getting Baby Collagen, all the staff noticed. While the result is natural, they noticed how my suddenly tired-looking face transformed into a more energetic one.
