Improve cellulite with Snekosell
As an Assistant Professor, Associate Ward Director, and Chief of Dermatopathology at the university hospital dermatology department, I deepened my expertise through academic presentations and paper publications both domestically and internationally. I have handled a wide range of treatments, from birthmark therapy in children to adult pigmentation concerns, utilizing various lasers and injection therapies, while also contributing to community healthcare. Through encountering numerous cases, I strongly felt the potential and necessity of aesthetic medicine, resolving to pursue further expertise. Building upon my solid dermatological knowledge and meticulous diagnostic skills, I value treatments that gently support each individual's skin while bringing out its inherent beauty.
Snekos, the popular Italian-made ECM formulation, has announced a new cellulite treatment series.
I would like to introduce the treatment.

I am Dr. Aya Hayama, a board-certified dermatologist.
Cellulite is
Unlike normal fat layers, it is formed by the expansion of the fat cells themselves and the development and hardening of the fibrous connective tissue within the fat layer.

This leads to poor blood flow in cellulite-affected areas, resulting in prolonged and chronic hypoxia. Sustained hypoxia triggers chronic inflammation around fat cells and advances acidification (acidosis). Consequently, fat cells begin to lose their original function.
Adipocytes not only store fat but also secrete various hormones and cytokines to maintain normal adipose tissue. However, when this secretory function is impaired, the activity of cytokines involved in angiogenesis and vasodilation weakens, leading to a vicious cycle of hypoxia, acidosis, and fibrosis caused by inflammation. Therefore, adipocytes in cellulite-affected areas can be said to be in a state where their surrounding environment deteriorates, preventing them from performing their normal functions.
Visually, the fat is separated by hard partitions formed by fibrous connective tissue. These partitions are pushed out, creating a bumpy appearance on the skin's surface.
Cellulite Treatment
Traditional cellulite treatments typically involved removing cellulite along with fat through liposuction or destroying fat cells to expel them from the body. However,Snake cellis a new approach that targets the root cause of cellulite rather than destroying fat cells.Normalize the fat cells and fibrous septa that caused the abnormalityTreatment.

Snekos, popular for its skin-nurturing properties, is a formulation from this series. It similarly combines low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid with six types of amino acids.
By injecting these substances, we break the vicious cycle that worsens cellulite (inflammation, aging, acidosis), guiding the body toward a state where cellulite can naturally heal more easily. The goal is to transform hardened cellulite in areas like the thighs, buttocks, and abdomen into soft, healthy tissue. We recommend the treatment every 2-3 weeks, starting with an initial course of three sessions.
The most notable feature of Snekosell is its minimal downtime and noticeable results within about one month of treatment. It not only improves the characteristic dimpled appearance of cellulite but also softens skin texture, aiming for a smoother body contour.
Additionally, treatment with Snekosel is expected to break the vicious cycle of cellulite, allowing fat cells to regain normal function and normalizing the composition of the extracellular matrix. This facilitates the natural return of cellulite to its original healthy state.
When Snecosel is injected into cellulite-affected areas, even a single injection can sometimes yield feedback such as "the hard cellulite areas have softened." This indicates a potential change where insufficient blood flow to the fat layer and the accompanying chronic inflammation are resolved, promoting cellulite healing. Treatment with Snecosel is thought to prevent cellulite worsening by improving blood circulation.
