What is a harmonica??
Conventional hyaluronic acidImmediate volume-boosting effectand,

1. What is a harmonica? Its structure and mechanism of action

・Some information also indicates that there are formulations containing anesthetic components.

 

Mechanism of Action (Dual Effect)

・The CaHA portion gradually stimulates the surrounding tissue over time,Induces collagen and elastin production

For example, in the clinical trial by Urdiales-Gálvez et al.,

2. Suitable Areas and Cases

The following are reported as common areas and applications where harmonicas are often used:

・Correction of indentations and uneven surfaces

4. Risks, Precautions, and Limitations

・After injectionSwelling, redness, edema, bruisingSide effects such as these occur with a certain probability.
Typically improves within a few days to a week.

・Due to its hybrid nature,Lidocaine mixture / Particle component ratio / Mixture homogeneity by
Sensations and adaptation are easily influenced

・Unlike solubility (hyaluronic acid can be broken down by hyaluronidase),
CaHA components cannot be said to be completely reversible and easily dissolved (even if you try to dissolve them postoperatively, they cannot be completely dissolved).

・Risks common to all fillers, such as vascular embolism, naturally apply.

 

5. Clinical Data and Points to Note

The study by Urdiales-Gálvez et al. involved 15 subjects and followed them for 180 days.
Volume changes (average approximately +2.1 cc), changes in tension vectors, and increased collagen on elastography have been reported.
Side effects are primarily mild.

However, this study has the following limitations:

・Not a randomized controlled trial

・The number of subjects is limited

Long-term (over 1 year) data and direct comparisons with other fillers are still limited.

 

6. Summary

・Hybrid lumber that instantly adds volume while gradually increasing collagen over time
・Duration reported to be approximately 6 to 12 months, though individual results may vary

・It also offers “structural improvement” effects that cannot be achieved with hyaluronic acid alone.

・Effective for preventing sagging
