Hello, everyone!
Natural and elegant rejuvenationpropose, plastic surgeonのMs. Aliceis.

As you get older, you start to notice things like..."Eyelid drooping"。
When you look in the mirror, you might feel a bit tired or find your eye makeup just isn't sitting right...
Or perhaps many of you experience heavy eyelids or a sensation of the upper part of your vision becoming obscured.
Sometimes, the prolonged effort to keep your eyes open can actually cause headaches.
Actually, when we talk about “eyelid drooping,” the causes can vary.
There is excess skin.or,The strength to open my eyes is weakeningorThe weight of fatDepending on the cause, the effective treatment can vary significantly.
This time,The Perspective of a Plastic SurgeonTherefore, IWhat I think about during regular examinationsI've simplified it into a flowchart.
I hope this helps you choose the treatment that's right for you!

~Eyelid Sagging Procedure Selection Flowchart~
STEP 1: First, check whether your eyes are difficult to open.
① Can your eyes open normally without raising your eyebrows?
・YES → Proceed to STEP 2 (For concerns primarily about sagging)
・NO (Hard to open without raising eyebrows / Gets tiring quickly) → Type A
👉 ※Since this can be determined by a doctor's examination, you don't need to make an accurate self-assessment. If you can easily open your eyes even when pressing down on your eyebrows, considering it Type A is sufficient.
Type A: Difficulty opening the eyes (suspected levator-related ptosis)
Your main concern is not so much “skin sagging” as it is "heavy eyelids that are difficult to open."
⇒ Recommended treatment is
Elevator Advancement (Surgery to ensure proper function of the muscle that opens the eyelid)
The incision method for so-called ptosis.
If there is significant skin laxity
→ Elevator advancement + upper eyelid skin excision
・Scars are less noticeable with a double line
💡 Even if you only want to remove skin without altering your double eyelids, if there's levator muscle-related ptosis, simply cutting the skin won't give a clean result, so treatment for that issue will also be necessary.
STEP 2: Eyes open, but concerned about "skin laxity" (Type B)
From here on Appearance, preference, and finish are the top priorities. Selection.
Question: Do you want to keep your current double eyelids as they are?
① I don't want to alter my current double eyelids or prefer to keep them as single eyelids.
→ Brow Lift (Surgery to remove skin below the eyebrows)
・While it cannot be said that the scar will completely disappear, it will become less noticeable within about a year.
・Do not alter the double eyelid line at all; it will appear slightly wider and shallower.
・The thickness of the eyelids may become lighter
・For those who want to rejuvenate naturally while keeping their original facial features
However, note: For individuals with a narrow space between the eyes and eyebrows, a brow lift may make this area appear even narrower and unnatural, making it unsuitable.
→ In that caseForehead lift (involves a scar along the hairline to lift the eyebrows)
・The distance between the eyes and eyebrows widens
・The scar is at the hairline, so it's easy to hide with bangs.
・Overall reduction in eyelid sagging
・Do not alter the double eyelid line at all; it will appear slightly wider and shallower.
・Less prone to developing wrinkles between the eyebrows or on the forehead
② It's okay if your double eyelids change, and it's okay if you go from single to double eyelids.
If simulation using Buji can improve it
→buried method
・Removing the stitches will restore it
・If skin laxity is mild, it will look natural.
・Scars are barely noticeable
→If sagging remains Upper Eyelid Blepharoplasty (Full Incision)
・Scars become less noticeable with double-line sutures
・People with single eyelids become double eyelids
・Double eyelid width is adjustable
・May cause thickening of the eyelids
Depending on the application
→Forehead LiftやBrow Liftis also possible
STEP 3: For those afraid of surgery or who want to try it first
→ Botox
・Reduces the feeling of heaviness on the eyelids
・It won't dramatically lift your skin, but it's effective enough for mild sagging.
・For better or worse, the effects last only about six months, so it can be used as a trial before committing to surgery.
If the cause is the feeling of a hollow
→Hyaluronic acidImprovements may also be possible.
