■ What Can Be Changed with Nasal Tip Reshaping

At the tip of the nose,

Roundness (dumpling nose) Expansion in width / Ambiguity of Contours / Left-right difference / slight elevation

These can be naturally improved.

HoweverTo achieve significant height, it is necessary to combine it with another procedure.。

■ Basic Surgical Steps

Rhinoplasty can be broadly categorized into two approaches.

① Pinch the alar cartilage to refine the shape

Sew the cartilage toward the center to narrow the rounded tip of the nose.

For individuals with thick subcutaneous fat, we simultaneously remove a small amount of fat and soft tissue to eliminate the cause of the roundness.

② Add cartilage grafting to enhance shape and strength

For individuals with small or soft cartilage, simply gathering the tissue may not achieve sufficient height or contour, so we transplant cartilage from the auricular cartilage or other areas.

・Refine the contour of the nose tip:Onlay graft / Shield graft

・Support from the nasal septum side:Columellar strut

Japanese individuals often have soft alar cartilage, and combining grafting with this technique prevents relapse and ensures stable results.

■ Difference from Nasal Septum Extension

・Nasal tip reshaping

→ Surgery to reshape the tip of the nose itself

→ Contour, width, and slight height improvement

 

・Nasal septum extension

→ Surgery to lengthen the nasal base

Enhanced height, orientation, and stability

If you want to achieve significant height and also change the direction of the tip, consider rhinoplasty.Indications for lengthening procedureswill be.
