How long is the downtime for eye incision surgery? We explain the process and how to spend it with photos 🍃.
Hi Nurse N. ✨
This time, Nurse N. My longtime dream came true,
I've had the "upper eye incision, droopy eye incision, and dark circles removal" surgery!
The primary surgeon is, of course, Dr. BIANCA ✨.
This is Dr. Jumi Minami✨
It was my first incision surgery, I was so excited and nervous, and I had three surgeries at once.
I was prepared for some downtime,
I am writing this blog to tell you about my own experience! I am writing this blog to tell you about it.
I hope this can be of some help to those who are considering surgery around the eyes or incision surgery☺.
Realistic swelling and pain along with actual progress photos,
Here are some tips on how to get through the downtime❣
😲 because the rest of this section contains images of downtime,
Please read ahead only if you are interested 😲.
First, the eyes before the surgery

Concern → I had a double implantation about 10 years ago and am satisfied with the width of the double folds.
The eyes have a sharp look with a double-layered, wide-open eye line.
Over the years, I had consulted with various physicians to round out my eye socket.
The incision under the eyebrow is inapposite because the incision is not the same.
The eye socket is relatively incised, so it is difficult to cut any further.
There is a risk of making the eyes look closer together. So, he wants to round out the eyes.
We consulted with them,
The proposal was an "upper eye incision"✨.
I have also been concerned for many years about the sharpness of my eyes and the way they are raised.
They also decided to undergo a "tare eye lid incision."
If I was going to go into downtime anyway. and because a little orbital fat was also showing, a "dark circles removal" was done at the same surgery.
The surgery was then performed under intravenous anesthesia and took a little over four hours.
Here it is [immediately after] the end 💁.

Personally, I think it's not as swollen as I thought it would be, but...people passing by would be surprised. 😅
I use tape to apply pressure under my eyes to prevent swelling of the dark circles 🩹✨.
The surgery itself was not painful at all due to the anesthesia, and there was no particular feeling of fatigue afterward.
I looked like this, but I felt refreshed as if I had just cooled off from a very deep sleep✨.
I brought a hat and black-rimmed glasses for camouflage (sunglasses are a bit uncomfortable when the surgery is over in the evening, so I recommend glasses ✨) and a mask so I could leave without being seen 💡.
On the day of surgery, I slept leaning against the sofa because if I slept flat, I would have edema the next morning,
Still, this is how swollen it got 💦* viewer discretion is advised.
Day 1 after surgery

The eyes were difficult to open and there was a lot of eye discharge, but there was no pain.
Sleeping all the time will conversely worsen edema, so move around moderately during the day, such as doing housework or shopping,
I had the feeling that it would calm down somewhat in the evening. 💡
[Postoperative day 4

It is often said that the peak of incision surgery is 3 days, but really, the swelling of the eyelids went down rapidly after the peak of 3 days💡.
The dark circles removal area also has some internal bleeding and edema, but it seems to be subsiding a lot. ❣️
Here, suddenly the conjunctivitis (white part of the eye) started to bleed internally, and the white of the eye is red and blotchy,
The patients said 💦 that it looks painful to look at, but it doesn't hurt or itch.
I'm kerroked ❤️ and rather enjoyed the swelling going down with each passing hour because of the too good condition of the corner of the tare eye.
Immediately after the surgery, I started taking a Chinese herb called Sireito and Loxoprofen with every meal to reduce inflammation and swelling,
I think that's part of the reason the swelling went down so quickly ✨.
Day 7 postoperatively

After a week, it's time to remove the stitches✨ As the swelling goes down, the threads at the corner and top of the eye will start to itch and itch.
To prevent irritation as much as possible, Vaseline is applied to the wound after surgery to keep it moist.
Thanks to that, the scars were firmly attached, and all the stitches (except for the threads at the corner of the eye where the eyelet was formed) were removed without incident.
The mucous membrane is said to be easily repaired, so scars from incisions in the outer corner of the eye are said to be easily reversible, and the threads making up the outer corner of the eye need to be removed after the wound has healed properly ✨.
Most of the general swelling has gone down and the threads above my eyes have been removed and it looks great. ❣️
There is still some internal bleeding in the conjunctiva, so once that recedes, we're almost done✨.
During the downtime, despite appearances, there is almost no pain, and the swelling and edema heal quickly anyway.
I was taking Chinese herbs internally and exercising ✨.
[Before and after one month

This is the finish after one month✨
The scar above the eye is still a little red, but the shape is perfect ✨.
How was it? ☺️ I take pictures of my downtime every day.
If anyone would like to see it, please contact me directly and I will show it to you✨.
I hope this helps a little ✨.
