Dr. Airi Yokoyama
During my childhood, I experienced long-term hospitalizations and surgeries due to a chronic illness. Being saved by doctors sparked a deep admiration for the medical profession. I entered Hiroshima University School of Medicine, initially aspiring to practice insurance-based medicine. However, as I began working, my desire to help people "enrich and beautify their lives" grew stronger than simply "curing diseases." This led me to choose the path of aesthetic medicine.
Until now, I have specialized in cosmetic dermatology, performing treatments that prioritize “individuality” and “refined, natural beauty” through injectable therapies such as hyaluronic acid, Botox, and thread lifts. At the same time, I felt a dilemma about not being able to personally provide surgery for conditions like ptosis or under-eye dark circles, which are difficult to improve through dermatology alone.
As a physician, I recognized the importance of achieving overall facial balance and began performing procedures around the eyes. Moving forward, I aim to integrate my knowledge of cosmetic dermatology with surgical techniques to contribute more broadly to my patients' beauty.
In my previous role, I served as director from the initial launch of a new clinic, overseeing management and contributing to its growth. With three overseas study experiences, I am capable of providing medical care in English. I am committed to ensuring international patients feel comfortable receiving treatment.
