G6PD Pre-Test Fee (For those requesting high-concentration vitamin C)
For first-time recipients of the high-dose vitamin C IV drip (2 vials, double dose of 50g), we require a pre-treatment blood test called the "G6PD Screening Test." Treatment will be administered only after the results are confirmed at a later date. This test checks for a genetic deficiency of the G6PD enzyme. If a deficiency is present, there is a risk of severe anemia, and the high-dose vitamin C IV drip cannot be administered.
