With scientific evidence and proven techniques, we guide patients toward realizing their ideals.

"I want to get liposuction on my stomach, but I'm worried about the downtime..." "How much time off work will I need?"
We often hear that sentiment.
Liposuction is one of the most satisfying treatments, delivering significant visible changes in just one session.
On the other hand, many people hesitate to take that step because they worry about post-operative pain and swelling, as well as how it might affect their work.
This time, Dr. Toshiyuki Saiga of BIANCA CLINIC will share the daily recovery process up to Day 7 following abdominal liposuction.
【Abdominal Liposuction】Explaining the Downtime Process with Photos
Let's take a look at the actual photos.
On the day of surgery (immediately after the procedure)

Immediately after the procedure, bruising and swelling have not yet reached their peak.
Please rest quietly on the day of the procedure.
The two incisions in the groin and one in the lower back are left open to allow drainage of anesthetic solution and blood over the course of a day, thereby reducing swelling.
(Please wear a sponge pad, girdle, waterproof pad, and diaper.)
The day after surgery
The wound will be sutured.
You can take showers, but please avoid getting the sponge part wet as much as possible.
There is some pain, but it is well within the range that can be adequately controlled with pain medication.
You should be able to go about your daily life without any problems.
Postoperative Day 3

The swelling is at its peak right now.
For Abcracs Design, sponge compression is applied until the third day after surgery.
Since it's compressed by the compression garment, the volume shouldn't be too noticeable.
As you can see in the photo, the bruising is red to purple in color.
(It doesn't come up very often.)
Day 7 after surgery

It's time to remove the stitches.
(Incisions are typically made at the umbilicus, inguinal region, and lower back.)
The bruise is fading and turning yellow.
The swelling remains, so the Abcracs line is hidden.
We will gradually refine it over time to bring it closer to its final form, so please rest assured.

・Rest on the first day
・Wear compression girdles correctly(Use specialized products with strong support capabilities)
・Protect the sponge portion to keep it dry during showers
・If swelling or pain is severe, avoid overexertion and get plenty of rest.
Some staff members at Bianca Clinic will return to their regular duties the next day, but it's important to adjust at your own pace.
We recommend ensuring you have about three days off after surgery.
Understand liposuction downtime correctly and take a step toward peace of mind.
The outcome of liposuction depends on how well you care for yourself during the recovery period.
By properly understanding the postoperative course and precautions, you can approach treatment with peace of mind.
