What is Nasal Wing Base/Artist Surgery?
Nasal Wing Base/Artist Surgery is a procedure that pushes up the nasal wing base from the inside to increase its height and alleviate deep lines and protrusion around the mouth. The nasal wing base is the area at the base of the nose, and if it is sunken in, not only do the lines become more prominent, but the difference in height between the sunken area and the base of the nose can make the mouth appear more prominent. By adding a three-dimensional effect to the base of the nasal wings, the entire face is balanced, giving it an elegant and three-dimensional impression. The result is also called "aristocrat surgery" in Korea.
The most common method is to use a prosthesis (artificial cartilage). The scar will not be noticeable from the outside because the prosthesis is inserted from inside the mouth through an incision of a few millimeters at the base of the gum.
What is Nasal Wing Base/Artist Surgery (Fine Rib Cartilage Graft)?
In addition to inserting a prosthesis, aristoplasty surgery can also be performed by shredding and transplanting your own rib cartilage. The use of autologous tissue has the advantage of being biocompatible and easily blends with the tissue. Furthermore, compared to artificial materials, it is easier to achieve a natural finish and can be expected to have a stable effect over the long term.
However, because a small incision must be made in the chest to harvest the rib cartilage, this procedure is rarely performed alone and is often selected in cases where it is performed simultaneously with nasal septal lengthening.
Before the procedure, the presence of calcification is confirmed by CT, and rib cartilage in good condition is selected. The extraction is performed from a location that minimizes scarring, so that a natural appearance can be maintained even after the surgery.
What is cat surgery?
Cataract surgery is a procedure that raises the base of the nasal bridge (the depression between the nose and upper lip) and adjusts the nasolabial folds to an ideal angle. If the base of the nasal bridge is concave, the base of the nose appears concave in profile, and the upper lip and mouth appear forward, giving an unrefined impression. The patient's own cartilage is cut into small pieces and grafted into the nose.
The purpose of cat surgery is to bring the nasolabial angle closer to 90-95 degrees, which is considered ideal for Asians, and to improve the E-line. The name "cat surgery" is a sobriquet given by Korean doctors to the procedure because it makes the profile look cute like a cat's. Officially, it is called nasolabial angioplasty.
What is MRSA testing (nasal MRSA test)?

How to spend the time after the aristosurgery procedure
After the noble surgery procedure, it is important to avoid any activity that interferes with the wound healing process. In particular, smoking worsens blood flow and delays recovery, so we ask that you refrain from smoking for one month after the surgery. In addition, please refrain from activities that put pressure or stimulation on the affected area, such as blowing your nose strongly, sleeping on your stomach, or massaging your face. Furthermore, it is ideal to avoid activities that stimulate blood circulation, such as saunas, strenuous exercise, alcohol consumption, and dental work for about one month.
When combined with nasal septum extension, the face may not be wet until the 7th day after the surgery. Makeup can be applied on the same day, except for the area to be treated, but overall makeup will be applied only after the stitches are removed.
