Mesona J is the world's first transdermal delivery device exclusively for medical institutions to meet stringent quality standards required for medical devices (JIS standards, EMC testing, etc.). Unlike iontophoresis or ultrasonic delivery devices, Mesona J features mesoporation technology utilizing electroporation. Electroporation is a technique that applies specialized electrical pulses to the skin, creating microscopic gaps in the skin cell membranes. This method allows multiple non-ionized ingredients and high-molecular-weight active ingredients—substances that cannot penetrate through topical application alone—to be painlessly delivered simultaneously deep into the dermis layer of the skin.
Penetration power is 70 times that of an iontophoresis device and 300 times that of regular application.
Mesona J delivers active ingredients directly to the dermis without damaging the skin, acting directly on cells to produce effects comparable to injection methods. Through Mesona J's mesoporation technology, the penetration power of beneficial ingredients into the skin is said to increase approximately 300 times compared to regular application and about 70 times compared to using an iontophoresis device.
Mesona J treatment involves two steps. First, electroporation is performed using a pen-shaped probe to create pathways for delivering active ingredients into the dermis. Next, a roller-shaped probe is applied to the skin, using electrostatic repulsion, electroosmosis, and physical pressure to introduce active ingredients into the dermis without causing skin damage or pain. Any small gaps created in the cell membranes close immediately, so there is no need for concern.
A combination of eight beneficial ingredients is used as the introduction agent.

Important Notes for Mesona J
There are virtually no disadvantages such as side effects or risks associated with Mesona J treatment. While allergic reactions to the introduced medication are possible in rare cases, the introduced medication used at our clinic rarely causes allergic reactions.
Mesona J delivers electrical currents to the skin, so during treatment you may experience a mild tingling sensation. Treatments near the mouth may cause a metallic taste, and treatments near the eyes may produce flashes of light. However, there is no significant pain or discomfort beyond this, and some patients even fall asleep during Mesona J treatments. However, in rare cases, redness or dryness may appear on the treated area due to the electrical stimulation or friction from the probe. If this occurs, please contact our clinic immediately.
