PROFHILO® is a high-concentration hyaluronic acid formulation combining high-molecular-weight and low-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid. These two types of hyaluronic acid activate fibroblasts, keratinocytes, and adipocytes—the cells responsible for skin firmness and elasticity—promoting increased collagen and elastin production to restore skin volume. PROFHILO's defining feature is its ability to stimulate cellular reconstruction from the skin's deeper layers, aiming for natural skin texture improvement. What's the difference between Profhylo for skin rejuvenation and hyaluronic acid products for contouring?
Profilio is a hyaluronic acid formulation designed for skin aging care, specifically skin nurturing. Its high fluidity allows it to diffuse into surrounding tissues upon injection, activating skin cells. It is characterized by its ability to remodel aged skin from the foundation up.
In contrast, hyaluronic acid injections for sculpting purposes involve direct injection into specific areas to improve wrinkles and nasolabial folds or reshape facial contours. Profilio's Unique BAP Injection Method
For Profhilo injections, we use the BAP (Bioesthetic Point) injection method recommended by IBSA. The BAP injection method is unique to Profhilo. The product is injected into five points on each side of the face, focusing on the lower third to avoid major blood vessels and nerves, and into ten points on the neck. Profhilo spreads over a 2cm square area from the injection site, allowing its effects to diffuse. This delivers benefits across the entire face and neck, including reducing wrinkles and sagging, and improving firmness and elasticity. Profilio has the characteristic of being less likely to cause allergic reactions compared to conventional hyaluronic acid preparations. The reason is that Profilio does not use cross-linking agents. Cross-linking agents are additives used to stabilize the product. Hyaluronic acid injection preparations contain cross-linking agents to delay absorption and degradation within the body, allowing them to remain at the injection site for as long as possible. Although rare, cases of allergic reactions caused by cross-linking agents have been reported.
In contrast, Profhylo combines low-molecular-weight and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid using its patented NAHYCO™ technology. It contains absolutely no chemical substances such as cross-linking agents or biological agents. Skin rejuvenation treatments include Profhilo, Volite, and Rejuran. Volite involves injecting a fine hyaluronic acid formulation into the skin's surface to enhance moisture retention from within. On the day of your Profhilo treatment, please avoid excessive alcohol consumption, long baths, and strenuous exercise. Makeup and facial cleansing are permitted immediately after the procedure. However, younger individuals may still receive the treatment depending on their skin condition, so please discuss this during your consultation.
Can Profilo be administered during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
