What is the Urahamura Method?

An incision is made in the mucous membrane on the inner side of the lower eyelid to reposition and secure orbital fat, thereby improving dark circles and sagging around the eyes.
The reverse Hamra method carries a lower risk of complications compared to the Hamra method, which involves incising the skin surface. It also preserves the orbicularis oculi muscle responsible for forming the tear trough, meaning the tear trough itself does not disappear—this is one of its defining characteristics.
When removing orbital fat to eliminate under-eye puffiness, the resulting hollows can sometimes become noticeable. However, the reverse Hamra technique avoids this risk by relocating orbital fat to the sunken areas and securing it there.
