What is the typical downtime period for Botox?

For most people, downtime symptoms subside within a few days to about a week after the procedure.

Injecting Botox into areas with thin skin, such as the forehead or outer corners of the eyes, or using larger doses like 40 or 50 units, may cause the effects to last slightly longer.

 

When do Botox injections start working?

The effects of Botox injections begin to appear 2 to 3 days after treatment and stabilize within 1 to 2 weeks.

After that, the effects gradually fade over a period of about 3 to 6 months.

 

Tips for Managing Your Downtime After Botox

During downtime, please refrain from the following actions:

 

・Rubbing or applying pressure to the area where Botox was injected

・Massage the treatment area

・Intense exercise or weight training

・Sauna or long baths

・Drinking alcohol

・Exposure to strong sunlight (protect yourself with a hat or parasol)

 

On the day of your Botox treatment, avoid activities that raise your body temperature and try to rest as much as possible.

You can still apply makeup even during Botox downtime.

However, be sure to cleanse gently without rubbing too hard.
