Unlock your skin's natural power
The Dermapen 4 used in Vampire Facial treatments is a medical device that creates tiny punctures in the skin using 16 micro-needles to enhance the penetration of cosmetic ingredients. The needle depth and speed are adjustable, and the results vary depending on the skin layer targeted. If the needle depth is insufficient, it may be difficult to achieve adequate results; conversely, excessive depth could potentially worsen skin condition. To achieve satisfactory results, it is crucial to set the device appropriately based on your skin condition and specific concerns.
At Bianca Clinic, our experienced physicians with extensive case histories perform treatments, carefully examining each patient's skin condition. During consultations, we utilize the high-performance VISIA® skin diagnostic system to thoroughly analyze your skin. After determining treatment suitability, we propose a customized treatment plan tailored to your goals, including the needle depth and speed settings for the Dermapen 4. We flexibly accommodate requests such as minimizing downtime or ensuring noticeable results. Please feel free to consult with us.
Additionally, Bianca Clinic's Vampire Facial treatment uses a lidocaine-infused anesthetic cream prior to the procedure and strives to minimize pain and discomfort during the treatment. For those concerned about pain, we also offer nitrous oxide anesthesia or nerve block anesthesia at the physician's discretion. We tailor the treatment to your skin type and concerns to maximize the effectiveness of the Vampire Facial. If you are considering this treatment, please entrust Bianca Clinic with your care.

CHARACTERISTICSWhat is a Vampire Facial?
Vampire Facial is a skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a Dermapen 4 device to apply and penetrate highly concentrated PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) extracted from the patient's own blood, thereby restoring the skin's natural functions. Some clinics refer to it as "Platelet Therapy" or "PRP Skin Regeneration Therapy."
PRP is platelet-rich plasma, a component rich in platelets that supports the tissue repair process. The Vampire Facial is a treatment focused on harnessing the reconstructive power of this PRP. By creating micro-channels in the skin using the Dermapen 4 and delivering PRP derived from the patient's own blood into the deeper layers of the skin, it also supports the body's natural healing abilities. It addresses skin concerns that appear with age, such as wrinkles and sagging.
The Vampire Facial gained attention in 2014 after Kim Kardashian posted about it on social media, subsequently spreading among celebrities overseas. It has now become one of the most popular and sought-after skin treatments in Japan as well.
Unlock your skin's natural regenerative power to address diverse skin concerns
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) introduced into the skin during a Vampire Facial is rich in platelets, which are said to be involved in the tissue recovery process. It contains abundant growth factors such as EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) and FGF (Fibroblast Growth Factor), which condition skin cells and support collagen and elastin production. This mechanism synergistically works with the Dermapen 4's approach to the skin's recovery process, making it possible to address various skin concerns like wrinkles, sagging, and enlarged pores. It also targets issues like acne scars and craters where damage extends deep into the skin.
Furthermore, since PRP is derived from the patient's own blood, it significantly reduces the risk of allergic reactions or rejection. By harnessing the skin's inherent regenerative capacity, it offers natural and fundamental improvement in skin quality.
Long-lasting effects can be expected over an extended period.
The Vampire Facial is a treatment using the Dermapen 4. By creating micro-punctures, it stimulates the body's natural wound-healing response. Simultaneously, growth factors contained in PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma), extracted from the patient's own blood, act on fibroblasts to support the production of collagen and elastin. This action promotes the skin's own repair and reconstruction, making it one of the treatments that aims for fundamental improvement in skin quality rather than temporary changes. Consequently, it is characterized by effects that tend to last over the long term.
Results may vary from person to person in terms of how they appear and how long they last, but some individuals notice changes in skin firmness and smoothness after just one session. Furthermore, receiving treatments consistently brings you closer to achieving a more satisfying outcome.
At Bianca Clinic, we recommend starting with three sessions. After that, we monitor your skin's progress for about 3 to 6 months and suggest additional treatments as needed. Generally, we often plan treatment courses with six sessions as a guideline. We tailor the optimal treatment plan to each individual's concerns, lifestyle, and budget, so please feel free to consult with us first.
Benefits
MERITAutologous blood with low allergy risk
Since the PRP used for injection is extracted from the patient's own blood, the risk of allergic reactions and side effects is considered relatively low.
Ultra-fine needles and anesthesia for pain management
Dermapen reduces discomfort and pain by vibrating its ultra-fine needles at 120 times per second. Furthermore, it incorporates anesthesia to ensure pain management.
Addresses complex skin concerns such as enlarged pores, fine lines, and dullness
By promoting skin reconstruction, it simultaneously addresses all skin concerns—including enlarged pores, fine lines, dullness, and acne scars.

RECOMMENDED POINTSVampire Facial Downtime and How to Spend It
The Vampire Facial is a treatment designed to enhance skin's regenerative capacity. However, because it involves stimulation from micro-needles, reactions such as redness, swelling, peeling, and bruising may occur post-procedure. These symptoms are temporary and typically subside within about a week. Furthermore, makeup can be applied 24 hours after the treatment, allowing you to cover some of the redness. We recommend scheduling your treatment considering the downtime period to accommodate important plans or work commitments.
Additionally, to help minimize downtime, post-procedure care and self-care are important. Since the skin is more prone to dryness after treatment, be sure to moisturize more diligently than usual. Avoid harsh skincare products and excessive UV exposure.
At Bianca Clinic, we strive to provide detailed explanations regarding treatment plans that consider downtime and post-procedure skincare methods. Our doctors provide thorough support to ensure you can undergo treatments with peace of mind.
This treatment is also suitable for those troubled by acne scars, pitted scars, or other types of scars.
Acne scars with indentations or uneven crater-like pits indicate damage extending into the skin's dermis layer. While skin typically possesses self-repair capabilities for some degree of restoration, the dermis layer does not undergo the same turnover process as the epidermis. Consequently, natural recovery from once-formed craters is considered difficult.
However, the Vampire Facial can reach the dermal layer. It can address acne scars and craters that were previously considered difficult to treat. Acne scar craters come in several types: ice pick scars with narrow, deep openings; boxcar scars with flat, angular bottoms; and rolling scars with gentle, flat-bottomed depressions. Among these, ice pick scars are considered particularly challenging to treat. Yet, the Vampire Facial can effectively address all types of acne scars. While the frequency and number of sessions vary depending on skin condition, many clients notice improvements in skin texture and surface irregularities after approximately three sessions spaced three weeks apart. For those seeking even more satisfying results, combination treatments with other procedures can also be proposed. If you're troubled by acne, please consult with us first.
The Difference Between Vampire Facials and Velvet Skin
Vampire Facial and Velvet Skin are both treatments that support skin recovery using a Dermapen, but they differ in the agents used, needle depth, and objectives. The Vampire Facial enhances the skin's natural healing and rebuilding capabilities by delivering autologous serum components deep into the skin. It is characterized by its broad applicability to concerns such as wrinkles, enlarged pores, sagging, loss of skin firmness, acne scars, and pitted scars.
Velvet Skin, on the other hand, is a treatment combining peeling action with stimulation of the dermal layer. It involves applying a massage peel (PRX-T33) after creating micro-channels with a Dermapen. This treatment targets relatively superficial skin concerns and aims to improve skin texture, such as dullness, roughness, visible pores, and mild acne scars. Which treatment is suitable depends on your specific concerns and skin condition. If you're unsure which treatment is right for you, we offer a detailed skin analysis followed by personalized treatment recommendations. We encourage you to schedule a complimentary consultation.

Vampire Facial FAQ
Q&AWhen can I start wearing makeup after a vampire facial?
We recommend waiting approximately 24 hours after your Vampire Facial before applying makeup.
Is the Vampire Facial treatment painful?
At our clinic, we apply lidocaine-containing anesthetic cream before treatment and strive to provide procedures that minimize pain and discomfort during the process. For patients concerned about pain, we also offer nitrous oxide anesthesia or nerve block anesthesia. Please feel free to mention this during your consultation.
When will I start seeing results after a vampire facial?
By utilizing the skin's natural healing power, collagen and elastin gradually increase, so it generally takes about two weeks to begin noticing the effects.
How long does the effect of a vampire facial typically last?
Results may vary depending on individual skin conditions, but generally, the effects are said to last approximately six months to one year. With repeated treatments, longer-lasting and more stable results can be expected.
Can you feel the effects of a Vampire Facial after just one session?
Some clients notice results after just one session, but undergoing multiple treatments tends to yield more noticeable effects. While individual results vary depending on skin condition, most clients at our clinic opt for a course of six sessions.
Please tell me the recommended frequency for regular maintenance of the Vampire Facial.
We recommend a treatment frequency of once every three weeks. We will propose a treatment plan tailored to each individual while monitoring their skin condition. For details, please consult your physician directly.
Are you worried about scarring?
The ultra-fine needles used in the Dermapen 4 create micro-pores so small they are invisible to the naked eye. This typically results in quick recovery and minimal visible scarring. However, individual results may vary depending on skin type and overall health. Please consult your treating physician before the procedure.
What is the difference between a vampire facial and a Dermapen?
Both treatments stimulate the skin with micro-needles to promote recovery, but they target different skin layers and address distinct concerns. The Vampire Facial is designed to reach the relatively deep dermal layer, targeting stubborn skin issues like deep wrinkles, sagging, acne scars, and craters, as well as anti-aging care. On the other hand, Dermapen targets the skin's superficial layers and is used for concerns like enlarged pores, mild acne scars, and fine lines. It is generally characterized by a shorter downtime. It is important to choose based on a comprehensive consideration of your specific concerns, your tolerance for downtime, and your budget.
Are there any recommended treatments that can be combined with the Vampire Facial?
Vampire Facials can be effective for acne scars, but for those prone to breakouts, combining it with HydraFacial is also recommended. By removing excess sebum and dead skin cells, it helps guide your skin toward a condition less susceptible to acne. Vampire Facials and HydraFacials can be performed on the same day. If you're interested, please feel free to consult with us.
