Embrace RF and HIFU are both thermal energy-based treatments for skin laxity. The primary difference lies in the irradiation temperature. Simply put, Embrace RF is a device that sandwiches the skin internally and externally for irradiation, allowing precise settings: a higher temperature effective against laxity within the skin, and a temperature on the skin surface that minimizes burn risk. HIFU, on the other hand, delivers high-density ultrasound irradiation from the skin surface, maintaining a constant temperature.
Embrace RF is considered to offer higher treatment efficacy per session due to its precise temperature control both inside and outside the skin. However, HIFU has a shorter downtime. Therefore, our clinic provides treatment recommendations tailored to each patient's specific goals.

The difference between Embrace RF (Face Light) and a facelift is whether an incision is made. Embrace RF tightens the cause of sagging without cutting by applying RF energy beneath the skin. A facelift, on the other hand, is a surgical procedure that involves making incisions in inconspicuous areas like behind the ears and manually lifting the sagging layers.

The effects of Embrace RF last approximately six months to one year. After the procedure, noticeable swelling typically lasts about two weeks, but you will begin to feel the tightening effect as time passes. During the Embrace RF procedure, anesthesia is administered, so in most cases, the treatment is completed while you are drowsy and feel no pain.
