Our Clinic's Exclusive Double Buried Suture Method (Internal Fixation) B TWICE
B TWICE is BIANCA CLINIC's proprietary double eyelid suture technique utilizing the "hidden suture" method. The procedure employs specialized needles and sutures, threading the suture through the conjunctival side of the eyelid using an original technique. Since no needles or sutures pass through the eyelid's outer surface, there are no visible scars or stitches on the eyelid's front. This surgical method minimizes downtime, including swelling and bruising.
This non-incisional double eyelid procedure requires no scalpel incisions, minimizing physical burden. It is suitable for a wide range of patients, from high school students undergoing their first double eyelid surgery to those in their 40s, 50s, and beyond. It is chosen not only by patients seeking to transform single eyelids into double eyelids, but also by those whose previous double eyelid suture method has loosened, or those with natural asymmetry in their double eyelid width.
Depending on your concerns and preferences, we can also perform procedures such as outer and inner canthoplasty or glamorous line formation alongside B TWICE.

CHARACTERISTICSB TWICE Double Buried Suture Method (Inner Suture)
The B TWICE Double Eyelid Suture Method (Internal Fixation) is a type of double eyelid suture technique that creates an ideal double eyelid line without using a scalpel. It involves attaching a special thread, finer than a hair, to the levator muscle of the upper eyelid without piercing the eyelid surface with a needle (levator muscle fixation method). The double eyelid suture method is a surgical procedure that creates an ideal double eyelid line by placing sutures at the desired location. It is called the "suture method" because the sutures are buried inside the eyelid to remain invisible externally.
Furthermore, B TWICE is characterized by its use of a technique called hidden suturing, which avoids creating needle holes on the eyelid surface. This allows makeup application immediately after surgery. Since no thread knots appear on the eyelid surface, the result looks natural even when the eyes are closed. This procedure also involves minimal downtime, reducing concerns about others noticing the double eyelid surgery. It is one of the most popular double eyelid suture methods performed at our clinic. Post-operative swelling and bruising are less likely to occur, making it popular among those who typically wear light makeup and men interested in cosmetic procedures.
Benefits
MERITNo surface scratches or lint balls form, so makeup application is possible immediately afterward.
B TWICE employs the double-buried suture technique, which prevents visible scars or knots on the eyelid surface. This allows for makeup application, including eye makeup, immediately after surgery.
Minimal downtime and less likely to be noticed by others
B TWICE results in minimal downtime such as swelling and bruising, making it less likely for others to notice you've had double eyelid surgery.
Even if the desired double eyelid line changes, it can be adjusted.
B TWICE uses sutures rather than a scalpel for double eyelid surgery, so even if your desired double eyelid line changes, it can be corrected by removing the sutures.

RECOMMENDED POINTSTypes and Effects of Double Eyelid Suture Methods at BIANCA CLINIC
At BIANCA CLINIC, the double eyelid suture methods available include B TWICE, as well as "2-point fixation," "4-point fixation," "Cross-link method," and "Multiple knot." Each suture method has its own characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages. Therefore, the choice of method is determined by the doctor based on the patient's eyelid condition and preferences, and a recommendation is made accordingly.
1) Two-point fastening / Four-point fastening
For the standard buried suture method, patients may choose between a two-point fixation or a four-point fixation based on their eyelid condition and desired double eyelid line.
Advantages: Easily designs your ideal double eyelid line, such as natural fan-shaped double eyelids, distinct parallel double eyelids, deep-set double eyelids, or wide, wide-open double eyelids.
Disadvantages: Not suitable for extremely wide double eyelids or eyelids with significant sagging.
2) Crosslinking Method
A buried suture technique that prevents the disappearance of the double eyelid line using a specialized surgical method to minimize reversal.
Advantage: Less likely to come loose compared to other buried suture methods
Disadvantages: Not suitable for extremely wide double eyelids or eyelids with significant sagging.
3) Multiple Knots
The buried suture method features multiple fixation points (six-point fixation) and double-stranded suture material, resulting in high fixation strength and durability.
Benefits: Recommended for those with thick eyelids, puffy eyes, or who wish to redo double eyelid suture surgery performed at another clinic.
Disadvantages: When dissatisfied with the results, removing the sutures and redoing the procedure is somewhat more difficult compared to other buried suture methods.
The Difference Between the Double Buried Suture Method and the Double Incision Method
There are two main types of double eyelid surgery: the suture method and the incision method. The suture method creates a double eyelid line using sutures without making an incision with a scalpel, while the incision method creates a double eyelid line by making an incision in the upper eyelid with a scalpel.
The two main differences are the length of downtime, the duration of surgery, and the duration of results.
【Double Buried Suture Method】
Downtime: Approximately 2 weeks
Surgery time: Approximately 10 to 15 minutes
Duration: Approximately 5 years at 50% effectiveness
【Double Eyelid Surgery】
Downtime: Approximately 3 months
Surgery duration: Approximately 60 to 90 minutes
Duration: Semi-permanent
The double eyelid suture method is recommended for those new to cosmetic surgery or double eyelid procedures, as it offers minimal downtime and allows for adjustments. On the other hand, for individuals seeking long-term, stable results or those with thick eyelids where suture methods may be challenging, we may suggest considering the double eyelid incision method.
Postoperative Course of the Double Buried Suture Method (B TWICE)
Individual results may vary, but swelling and puffiness may occur after the procedure. Most cases subside within about a week, though in rare instances it may take up to a month to fully settle. Additionally, due to swelling and puffiness, the double eyelid line may initially appear wider than desired, and it typically takes about a month for a natural-looking result to develop. Depending on the pattern of swelling, asymmetry in the double eyelid line may occur, but this gradually resolves and is generally not a cause for concern.
Bruising typically disappears within 1 to 2 weeks, and when it occurs on the white part of the eye, it usually fades within 2 to 3 weeks. For the first 2 days after surgery, bleeding may occur from the incision site. Gently press the area around your eye with clean gauze or tissue.
On the day of your procedure, apply a cooling sheet to your forehead to keep your eyelids cool and dry. For several days after surgery, make sure to sleep on your back with your head elevated. For one week post-surgery, avoid pulling or rubbing your eye area forcefully. Until your eyes have settled, try to avoid reading or detailed work as much as possible to give your eyes rest.

Frequently Asked Questions About the Double Buried Method (B TWICE)
Q&AIs it possible to undergo surgery again even if I've had it before?
While many cases are suitable for revision surgery, if several years have passed since the initial procedure or if the eyelid skin has developed a crease, the double eyelid line created by surgery may be difficult to restore even after suture removal. Please come in for a consultation.
Is suture removal necessary for revision surgery of the double-stitch method?
The condition of your eye area will determine the approach, so please come in for a consultation. Suture removal is generally possible if the location of the threads and knots can be confirmed. If the effects of your previous buried suture method remain significant and make simulation difficult, we recommend waiting about one month after suture removal for swelling to subside before considering revision surgery.
Can I undergo surgery while wearing eyelash extensions?
We can perform the treatment even if you have eyelash extensions, but please be aware that they may come off during the procedure.
Can you accommodate the desired width and design?
We will certainly discuss your preferences, but the ideal double eyelid width depends on the condition of your eyelids, so please consult with us during your consultation. The ideal double eyelid width for the double eyelid suture method is said to be 6 to 8 millimeters, and the parallel double eyelid design is popular. However, the width and design that look best vary for each patient. We will propose a width and design that best aligns with your preferences.
How long does it last?
The buried suture method is a treatment that anchors the eyelid with thread, and it does not create permanent double eyelids. After several years following the procedure, the eyelid will return to its original state. The duration of results varies depending on the condition of the eyelid, lifestyle habits, and the surgical technique used.
Is the thread used in the buried suture method harmless to the body?
In double-buried suture surgery, we use "non-absorbable sutures" that do not dissolve within the body. These sutures are medical-grade threads, finer than human hair and identical to those used for suturing blood vessels, so there is no cause for concern. Some sutures used in general surgery are significantly thicker and may remain in the body, yet even these rarely cause harm.
When can I start wearing contact lenses?
We ask that you begin wearing contact lenses, including B TWISE, starting on the 7th day after surgery for the double-buried suture method. If you wish to use contact lenses earlier than this, special care is required regarding insertion methods and other precautions, so please consult with us first.
