By making incisions at the outer eye corners and lower eyelid skin, and securing the tarsal plate* to the periosteum, it enables the eyes to appear larger even when looking downward. It gently lowers the lower eyelid line from the center to the outer corners, creating the soft, gentle impression characteristic of droopy eyes.

Unlike simple lateral canthoplasty that only widens the eyes horizontally, droopy-eye canthoplasty can be performed both vertically and horizontally. This makes it a suitable procedure for those seeking a larger, softer-looking eye area.
