Rhinoplasty is a surgery to sharpen the tip of the nose by stitching together the cartilage at the tip of the nose (alar cartilage) to improve the size of the rounded nose and tip of the nose.
A bumpy nose, in which the tip of the nose looks round and large, is caused by the thickness of the skin and soft tissue at the tip of the nose and the shape of the cartilage at the tip of the nose.
