Buccal fat removal typically involves minimal downtime, and some individuals experience little to no swelling or bruising. Swelling peaks around 1 to 2 days post-procedure. Bruising generally fades to near-invisibility within about a week. Rest assured, the swelling does not spread to the eyes or entire face and can be easily concealed with a mask.
If you're concerned about warmth in your cheeks, we recommend applying a cold compress. Additionally, sleeping with your upper body elevated can help reduce facial puffiness and may minimize swelling.
