05ABOUT
Even with the same unevenness,The causes are different.
The underlying processes in the skin differ between acne and acne scars.
During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin condition and develop a personalized plan that combines treatments, skincare, and oral and topical medications based on your specific concerns.
The Difference Between Acne and Acne Scars
Acne is a skin condition in which pores become clogged due to sebum secretion, leading to inflammation.
Scarring can also occur if pores remain clogged for a long time.
| What Remains | Status |
|---|---|
| Dent | Craters (acne scars). Icepick-type / Boxcar-type / Rolling-type |
| Excitement | Keloid / Hypertrophic Scar |
| 色 | Post-inflammatory Redness / Post-inflammatory Hyperpigmentation |
Three Types of Craters
Ice pick type
It is a small, deep indentation. The opening is narrow, and it extends deep into the surface.
Boxcar type
The bottom and sides are scarred. It is a square indentation with a distinct edge.
Rolling type
The tissue at the bottom is being pulled. It appears as a gentle, wavy indentation.
How Craters Form
A crater is not a hole caused by the skin's surface being scraped away.
When acne inflammation persists, hard tissue forms beneath the skin. This tissue pulls the skin's surface downward, resulting in indentations.
Things to Check During a Medical Examination
- Will new acne breakouts occur?
- Is the redness just starting, or has it been going on for a while?
- Crater Shape and Depth
- Degree of Fibrosis
We examine the skin in person to determine which layer to treat and how to proceed.
The number of treatment sessions you will receive as part of the trial program ranges from approximately one to three, depending on your symptoms.
PicoFocus(Pico-Fractional) is also effective in improving uneven acne scars that resemble craters.
Lara SecretThis is a body-only peel for the "back and genital area." It is not included in this trial program.

Frequently Asked Questions Before Making a Reservation
Q1. Which treatment is right for me?
During the examination, we will assess the development of new acne, redness, hyperpigmentation, and the shape and depth of acne scars.
Based on that, we will consider a combination of procedures, skincare, and oral and topical medications. The physician will determine the treatment method and whether the patient is a suitable candidate for the clinical trial.
Q2. How many sessions will I need to attend?
The number of treatment sessions you will receive as part of the trial program is generally estimated to range from one to three, depending on your symptoms.
If the scarring is severe, additional sessions may be required.
Q3. Will the crater disappear completely?
This treatment is designed to make the indentation less noticeable. It does not guarantee that the indentation will disappear completely.
Results may vary from person to person depending on the shape and depth of the craters and the condition of the skin.
Depending on the treatment method—such as for narrow, deep ice-pick-shaped scars—it may be difficult to achieve noticeable results.
Q4. Will it hurt? Will anesthesia be used?

Q5. Can I receive this treatment on the same day as other treatments?
We will determine during the consultation whether a combination of treatments can be performed on the same day.

Q6. I’m using acne medication and retinol. Can I still get the treatment?
Please inform your doctor before your treatment if you are using any topical medications or highly irritating skincare products.
TrifilProSo, please stop using benzoyl peroxide for three days before and after the procedure, and retinol for one week before and after the procedure.
