What Is the Wolverine Stack? A Board-Certified Cosmetic Medicine Specialist Explains This New Peptide Therapy Combining BPC-157 and TB-500
To maximize your beauty, care for both the inside and outside is essential. We aim to bring advanced anti-aging treatments, such as peptide therapy common overseas, to our Japanese patients. While aesthetic medical approaches may offer more gradual results, they are crucial for building the foundation that supports beauty and youth. We combine nutritional therapy and lifestyle improvements with hormone replacement, peptide therapy, and regenerative medicine to propose personalized treatment plans. We provide long-term support for health and beauty from within.

Hello. I am Yoko Maeda, the Director of Aesthetic Medicine at BIANCA CLINIC.
I am a board-certified specialist with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), and I currently provide medical care in the field of aesthetic medicine while incorporating insights from longevity medicine.
In recent years, “peptide therapy” has been gaining attention overseas. In particular, the “Wolverine Stack”—a combination of two peptides, BPC-157 and TB-500—is gaining attention overseas as a new approach that focuses on the body’s natural repair mechanisms. Interest in it is growing among business executives, elite athletes, and other health-conscious individuals.
In this article, based on the content I discussed in the “BIANCA ACADEMY” webinar, I’ll provide an easy-to-understand explanation—starting with the basics of “What are peptides?”—covering the concept behind the Wolverine Stack, the respective roles of BPC-157 and TB-500, and the importance of receiving treatment at a clinic. Please be sure to read it all the way through.
What Are Peptides? Essential Information About the Body’s Signaling Molecules
Recently, we’ve been hearing the term “peptides” more and more in the fields of beauty and anti-aging care. First, let’s start with the basics and explain what peptides actually are.
Peptides are small molecules made up of amino acids.
A peptide is a substance formed by the linking of several to several dozen amino acids. While it can be described as a protein broken down into smaller pieces, it is not merely a nutrient.
Within the body, they function as signaling molecules that enable cells to communicate with one another, each playing a distinct role. Approaches that utilize these peptides are becoming increasingly widespread, particularly overseas, as interest in beauty and health continues to grow.
It acts as a command center for the body, distinct from the role of providing nutrition
Peptides are based on a different concept than supplements intended for nutritional supplementation. Its distinctive feature is that, rather than simply replenishing missing nutrients, it plays a role in conveying messages to the body such as “Let’s begin the repair process” and “Let’s gather cells.”
For this reason, research is also being conducted overseas in the field of longevity—defined as living a long, healthy, and beautiful life—as an approach to supporting the body’s natural functions.
What Is the Wolverine Stack? A New Approach Combining Two Peptides

The "Wolverine Stack" refers to an approach that involves combining two types of peptides—BPC-157 and TB-500—for use.
The name "Wolverine" was chosen to reflect the movie character's remarkable regenerative abilities and is widely known overseas.
The key point is that this approach aims to optimize the body’s natural repair mechanisms, rather than focusing on the concept of “medicines that boost resilience.”
HBPC-157 and TB-500—What Are Their Respective Roles?

The key feature of the Wolverine Stack is the combination of two peptides, each with a different function.
BPC-157 is the “foreman” that sets the stage for repair
BPC-157 is a peptide derived from gastric juice. Since it is gaining attention for its role in creating an environment conducive to tissue repair, it may be easier to understand if you think of it as a "site supervisor."
In areas where injury or damage has occurred, it is expected to help create an environment conducive to healing by properly controlling inflammation and supporting the activity of fibroblasts—which promote the formation of new blood vessels and produce collagen.
Furthermore, it is believed to play a role in the function of growth hormone receptors (signal receptors), and it is expected to help create an environment that is more receptive to the effects of growth hormone.
The TB-500 is the "commander" that supports the body's overall repair processes
TB-500 is a peptide synthetically derived from the active portion of a substance found in the body called thymosin β4. Because it plays a role in supporting repair throughout the body, it is often likened to the “commander of the repair forces.”
It is expected to support the functions of cells involved in the repair of the entire body and to help create an environment conducive to repair. A key feature is that it works with the entire body in mind, rather than just the local area.
By combining them, we shift from an additive approach to a multiplicative one
BPC-157 prepares the local environment for repair, while TB-500 supports repair-related functions throughout the body. By each playing a distinct role in this way, a multifaceted approach is anticipated.
During the webinar, we also described this relationship using the analogy of “multiplication rather than addition.” A key feature of the Wolverine Stack is that it brings out the body’s inherent healthy balance by approaching it from both local and systemic perspectives.
Who is the Wolverine Stack best suited for?

Wolverine Stack is often considered by people who have the following concerns:
- For those who want to improve the condition of their tendons, ligaments, muscles, and other tissues
- For those who want to support post-surgery recovery
- For those concerned about chronic joint or tendon problems
- For those concerned about a decline in the body's ability to repair itself due to aging
- For those who want to maintain good health and promote longevity
However, this product may not be suitable for individuals with active cancer or a history of cancer, pregnant or breastfeeding women, or competitive athletes subject to anti-doping regulations. It is important to consult a doctor for a medical examination to determine whether this treatment is appropriate.
Why It's Important to Receive Peptide Therapy at a Clinic
In some countries, individuals import research reagents through the Internet; however, since the quality and safety of some products cannot be fully verified, using them at your own discretion is not recommended.
At Bianca Clinic, we use clinic-grade formulations that have been verified for quality, and our doctors propose personalized treatment plans for each patient based on consultations and test results.
In addition, we monitor your progress and perform blood tests as needed, always striving to provide care that prioritizes your safety.Peptide therapy should not be undertaken on one’s own; it is important to receive it under a doctor’s supervision.

Answers to Questions Asked at the Seminar
During the seminar, we received questions about the Wolverine Stack. Here is a summary of those questions.
Q: Is it better to start using the Wolverine Stack before you get injured?
If the goal is to recover from an injury, you should generally consider using it after the injury has occurred.
On the other hand, BPC-157 is sometimes used on its own for the purpose of maintaining physical condition or as an anti-aging treatment.
The appropriate method varies depending on your specific needs, so please consult your doctor.
Q Is BPC-157 sometimes used in combination with other peptides?
Yes. Depending on the purpose, we may combine it with other peptides, such as Epitalon.
However, even overseas, the “Wolverine Stack”—a combination of BPC-157 and TB-500—is known as a classic combination.
"Longevity": A New Concept Pursued by the Wolverine Stack

What I value most in the field of aesthetic medicine is not “medical care that focuses solely on current symptoms.”With an eye toward healthy life expectancy and quality of life in the long term, we aim to help each and every person age healthily.
The Wolverine Stack isn't simply designed to "speed up recovery"; it's based on the philosophy of supporting the development of better physical condition while harnessing the body's natural strength.
I trained at the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and I continue to incorporate the latest findings in longevity into my daily practice through participation in international conferences and collaboration with physicians and researchers around the world.
At Bianca Clinic, we provide aesthetic internal medicine services tailored to each patient’s individual goals and physical condition, with a focus on their long-term health.
